Welcome/Hospitality Team

A parish of our size can be intimidating to those seeking a spiritual home. Help ensure that our parish is warm and inviting to our fellow brothers and sisters. 

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in...” Matthew 25:35.

Let’s make sure there are no strangers among us, only family.

Members:
Welcome new members to our parish community with a kind note or phone call and determine how our parish can serve their family’s needs. Act as a liaison between our ministries
and our newest parishioners to help them get connected. Help plan and organize two Newcomer’s Receptions each year (September and March)

Commitment:
Flexible. Outreach can be done from home as time permits. One hour a week can build bridges and strengthen our parish community. Wehavebetween3-10familiesjoin our parish each month.

My parish is composed of people like me.
I help make it what it is.
It will be friendly, if I am.
It will be holy, if I am.
Its pews will be filled, if I help fill them.
It will do great work, if I work.
It will be prayerful, if I pray.
It will make generous gifts to many causes, if I am a generous giver.
It will bring others into worship, if I invite and bring them.
It will be a parish of loyalty and love, of fearlessness and faith, of compassion, charity and mercy, if I, who make it what it is, am filled with these same things.
Therefore, with the help of God, I now dedicate myself to the task of being all things that I want my parish to be.
