Cathedral Parish for the Diocese of Lexington, KY
859-268-2861
The parish based Married Life classes involve instruction for engaged couples on living the vocation and sacrament of marriage amid the practical blessings and challenges of daily life. Issues like communication, conflict resolution, dealing with in-laws, stewardship of finances, romance, and forgiveness are approached through a sacramental lens of marriage as Christ’s chosen school for us to learn how to love as he does.
If you are a practicing Catholic couple, imperfect but growing in your faith, able to laugh at yourself, be honest about what you’ve learned in marriage, and affirm the fullness of Catholic teaching on marriage and sexuality, you are needed in this ministry!
Volunteers:
Volunteer presenters are needed for each workshop (leaders’ book and training are provided). The program has six sessions and
we plan to have two couples at each workshop. Meaning that as a presenting couple you only have to present three sessions.
Commitment: One Saturday per year (8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.) plus a few hours for initial training.
