Jesus Calls Us to Himself and to Mission (2021-2022)
During the year between the Solemnity of Jesus Christ, King of the Universe in 2021 and the same feast in 2022, as a parish, we dedicated the year to looking inward and asking a very important question and seeking answers to that question.
Our Parish is named Christ the King. But is that our lived reality? Day in, day out - is Jesus truly the King of our hearts and homes? Have we given our lives to Him as Savior and Lord? Do we give Him His rightful place on the throne of our lives and give Him time each day so we can grow in intimacy with Him?
The year began with an Advent Homily Series and then, starting in January 2022, we started a weekly activity series, each of which provided a simple, but profound way to help us make Jesus the King in our hearts and in our homes.
Though the series is now coming to a conclusion, the idea and goal behind this entire year goes on. We must always strive to invite Jesus to reign supreme in our lives as King, Lord & Savior. The series can be used by individuals and families who find themselves seeking inspiration and ideas to continue keeping Jesus first in their lives through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Come Lord Jesus! Come Holy Spirit! We invite you, every day, to be King, Lord, and Savior in our hearts and homes.
Make use of these resources any time you feel the need!
The weekly activities themselves are found on this page (up above if you are on your mobile device or on the left navigator if you are on a computer/lap-top).
Each activity is unique and provides a simple, but profound way that an individual and/or family can strive to draw ever closer to Jesus' Sacred Heart and in ways that can be worked into the weekly calendar.
