Come see a man who told me all that I ever did. Can this be the Christ?” – John 4:29
After her encounter with Jesus at the well, the Samaritan woman invited her fellow townspeople to meet the one who had satisfied her thirst. This invitation is also to each one of us as we consider our own relationship with Jesus Christ. Have we gone out to meet the one who alone can satisfy the deepest longings of our human heart? Have we allowed Christ to quench our thirst? Have we given our lives to Jesus and asked Him to be the Lord of our lives? If not, why not? What else is worth pursuing more than following Jesus and letting Him lead us back to His Father as we become His disciple.
Here at Christ the King there are many opportunities for you to encounter Jesus and allow him to show you the way to His Father. As our parish mission calls out, we seek to form, equip, and send missionary disciples into the world, beginning with our own families but extending out into our community and ultimately, the world. Please check out these opportunities and make a commitment to grow your relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. All you need to is pick up a bulletin each week and you will find one or more opportunities to encounter Jesus and/or delve more deeply into what it means to live as His disciple in the world.
