Congolese Catholic Ministry

Congolese led ministry to build community among Congolese Catholics at Christ the King and with other Catholic parishes in Lexington. Leaders welcome new Congolese parishioners, assist with parish registration, identify sacramental needs, and help with enrollment in faith formation programs.

Volunteers:
New Congolese parishioners are always welcome. Also needed are volunteers to assist with summer English language enrichment classes for youth and adults, and act as mentors when needed.

Commitment:
Support newly resettled refugees through donations, apartment setup, accompanying them to appointments, and as mentors and/or participate in Sunday Catholic refugee community hour, support access to sacramental needs, assist in coordination of a monthly Congolese Mass, address ESL needs, and act as mentors.
