Confirmation 8th (9-12)

Our Confirmation program is a fun, interactive, prayerful program that includes catechesis programs titled 'Chosen’ by Ascension Press and 'Never Alone' by YDisciple. With these curriculum we have a large focus on prayer, sacraments, scripture, community, service and of course the Person of the Holy Spirit. The theology of Confirmation informs us that Confirmation is about God setting us apart, choosing us and equipping & confirming us in the three offices of Christ as Priest, Prophet & King for a great mission, to build up His Kingdom in and outside the Church.  It is also about us, freely accepting, responding and cooperating with God’s gifts, fruits, graces and mission for us, by living out our faith in power and generosity as Mary and the saints did, dependent on Christ and Holy Spirit. Our hope is that this program will not only prepare young Catholics for the Sacrament of Confirmation but also teach them and inspire them to respond and do just that in all the circumstances of their daily lives, long after their Confirmation day.  That they will be able to begin with confidence this new stage of their relationship with Jesus and His Church and fully commit to the great mission of Christ 'To make disciples and preach the Gospel to the ends of the earth'. Confirmation youth are also invited to our Edge Youth Group.  Our Confirmation Sessions are on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:15 pm and we meet in the Youth Room of the Parish Life Center.
