The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process whereby adults (re-)discover, encounter and develop a relationship with Jesus Christ while they discern becoming His disciple in the Catholic Church. The process is flexible and depends on where each individual is on their faith journey, their relationship with Jesus Christ and their involvement/awareness of the Catholic Church.
The process provides regular opportunities to grow in knowledge about life as a Christian in the Catholic Church and to come into or deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. In doing all of this and through the power of the Holy Spirit, the participant will discover what it means to become a missionary disciple of Jesus in the Catholic Church and ultimately make a decision whether or not to enter the Catholic Church.
The process is for seekers, whether Christian or not. Just because you start RCIA, doesn't mean you are committed to finish it. If you are merely curious about what Catholicism is all about, please reach out and we'll walk with you and help give you the information you seek. All are welcome and we will only propose, not impose, our faith to you.
RCIA sessions are held on Sunday mornings most weekends of the year. Our sessions begin at 9:30 AM and we condclude our session by worshipping together at the 11:30 AM Mass.
The process is very flexible and can accomodate schedules that do not allow regular or even any attendance at those weekly sessions.
Because of our experience with the COVID Pandemic, we do offer a ZOOM option for those who can't make it on a given weekend.
The process begins with an individual meeting with the Director of Faith Formation (currently Deacon Tim Weinmann) where the complete process will be explained and tailored where possible based on personal circumstances.

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS ADAPTED FOR CHILDREN (RCIC)
We also have an adapted version of the RCIA process for children between the ages of 7 and 16 (commonly known as the RCIC process) whose parents are considering having them become Catholic.
RCIC sessions are held Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30 AM during the school year.
